i dreamt I found a photo of me. I was a boy scout, showing off a uniform, and I had dark thick hair. I was young. The photograph itself was one of those from the seventies, with the 'textured' surface, it was starting to curl up, and one edge had been crookedly trimmed off. I was standing on a porch, in front of some rustic structure, like the ones at Camp Resolute in Bolton. I was glad I found it because I wanted to scan it and post it here, and in the dream, there was the possibility of a bunch more old photos like this one, because I'd found this one in a box that had more pictures, probably also of me from long ago. But I don't know for sure; I woke up.
The weather is stunning at this moment. Blue sky, warm sun, cool breeze. I only notice because I had to get up early (9:30) and do laundry (which I have not done in my previous 3 days off!). If not for work I would not ever wake up, and that would be (in fact, is) a tragedy. But I am always wishing I was not awake, and I am always hating work.
Life is a prison for the soulthat is if the soul does not want to be in a human body. Such a soul hates the things that maintain the flesh; mother, health, love, and hapiness. The way out of hell for such a soul is to accept the incarceration, gladly occupy the cell, and love all the jailers who are, after all, companions in a beautiful absurdity.
gotta go to work, but please visit Joel, and try out my new site, burgwinkel.com, and note the el at the end, in honor of my mother, El. There's nothing there right now, but at least you get to see what a vacant web site looks like. Bye for now!
